 Bidding

How do I purchase bids?
In order to purchase bids, you first need to register with Ehaggler. Once you are logged in, click on the ‘Purchase Bids’ button on the left hand side of the “My Account” page. You can buy bids using Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro or MasterCard via our payment merchant; Paypal. Alternatively you can also pay using your Paypal funds so long as there is sufficient balance available.

How much does a bid cost?
Ehaggler offers one of the lowest rates for bids on the market. The cost of a bid ranges from £0.03 - £0.40 each depending on the bid package you select, Ehaggler offers 10 bid packages to suit all users budgets.

How do I keep track of all the products I am bidding on at one time?
When logged in, click on the ‘My Bids’ link on the left hand side of the “My Account” page. You will be able to see which products you have bid on and when. You can also keep track of all your bid butler bids. To learn more about bid butler please take a look at the bid butler page.

What if I want to increase the purchase price of the auction by more than £0.01?
Unfortunately this is not possible. Each time a bid is placed, the product price will only go up by £0.01. We do this to ensure the winner gets the prize for an absolute bargain price.

Do you offer other prices for auctions?
From time to time, depending on the item offered, we may opt for a 10p bid rate increment, but it will clearly state this within the item details.

Why did the time left on the countdown increase after I placed a bid?
Once a user places a new bid, we want to give other users a chance to counterbid, which is where the haggling comes in. The time added to the countdown can be as little as 10 seconds but it is never more than 2 minutes per bid.

Bonus Bids

What is Bonus Bids?
Bonus Bids are additional bids that Ehaggler offer to users or referrals that can only be used within Ehaggler.co.uk. It is our way of saying Thank You for joining and your support. They can be used just like the bids you purchase, i.e. towards bidding on items.

Can I transfer my Bonus Bids to my bank account?
No. Bonus Bids can only be used for purchases on Ehaggler.co.uk and cannot be transferred to your bank account.

How can I keep track of my Bids & Bonus Bids balance and all the purchases paid from it?
When logged in, click on "My eHaggler.co.uk" tab. You will be able to see how much credit you deposited and have in your Ehaggler account.

Can I buy more Bonus Bids?
Bonus Bids are always allocated at the discretion of Ehaggler.co.uk due to either a user joining or referring our site to others, who then join and purchase their first bid package. A user is always given Bonus Bids upon registering and joining but once they have consumed all the Bonus Bids, a user can directly buy bid packages by clicking on the “Buy Bids” button found at the left hand side of the “My Account” page. On winning an auction, a user is also allocated more Bonus Bids as a way of Ehaggler saying thank you for participating.

Yes. You are limited to winning up to 2 auctions in a 14 day rolling period. For example, if you win a product on May 1, and another on May 4, the earliest you can bid to win a 3rd product is May 15 (May 1 + 14 days). The earliest you can bid to win a 4th product is May 18 (May 4 + 14 days)

What if I have won 2 auctions in 14 days, but I have already bid on other auctions before reaching the 2 auction limit?
You will not be able to continue bidding on auctions you’ve already placed bids on before reaching the 2 win limit. Can I return something after I have already purchased it?
You can always return a product you have bought from us for whatever reason. The Ehaggler customer support team will be happy to assist you. Bid Butler

What is Bid Butler?
Bid Butler is a feature that will intelligently bid on your behalf, based on the parameters you enter. You choose the minimum price, maximum price and the maximum number of bids you are willing to use. Unused bids on your bid butler will be returned to your account.

How do I use a Bid Butler?
When you select a specific product, the bid butler feature will be displayed right under the product counter. You can then choose the “minimum price”, “maximum price” and “number of bids to use”.

What happens if there is multiple Bid Butler’s bidding for the same auction?
All Bid Butler’s will take turns bidding. They will not bid unless someone places a higher bid than they placed. Bid Butler will only bid until they reach their maximum limit or until they run out of bids.

How do I edit a bid butler?
Click on the ‘My bid butler’ link within your “My Account” section. A list of all your bid butler will be displayed. Select the bid butler you wish to edit.

What if the bid butler doesn’t activate?
There are 3 possible explanations
·          You no longer have any bids left in your bid butler.
·          Your minimum price has not been reached yet.
·          The maximum price was crossed.

Buy it Now (Future Feature)

How does the ‘Buy it Now’ feature work?
The 'Buy it Now' feature will allow users to not leave an auction empty handed. Users can purchase the product using the value of the bids they have spent on that product. Please note that the base prices for buy it now will be 15% higher than the retail price Ehaggler have been given. When a user selects this option, they pay the balance between the base buy it now price and the value of the bids they will have already spent. Keep in mind that the buy now price will never be below zero, even if the value of the bids a user has spent are more than the retail value of the product.

Can a user continue bidding if they use the ‘Buy it Now’ option?
Unfortunately not. Once a user has chosen to buy the product they are no longer eligible to continue bidding on it. Any bid butler bids that have been placed on the product will be cancelled and unused bids will be returned to the relevant   account. Likewise, the auction winner will not be permitted to use the ‘Buy it Now’ feature.

How long does a user have to use the ‘Buy it Now’ option?
This function will be available from the time the auction begins right up to 24 hours after it closes. Once a user selects this option they will have 24 hours to pay for the product.

Technical Issues

What internet browsers can I access Ehaggler with?
Ehaggler has been designed to be suitable for all browsers. However, for optimal use we recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

What if the timer reaches zero and nothing appears to happen?
There are a few possible explanations:

·          The connection between your computer and the Ehaggler servers could be broken.

·          If the connection is broken, the timer on your computer will continue to count down because it has not received the signal from the Ehaggler servers to reset the timer.

·          The browser you are using might have exhausted its resources.

·          Unlike typical websites that download a page once, our site constantly communicates with the servers to receive bids and manage the auction timers. Older versions of internet browsers or browsers with numerous plugins may freeze after hosting the site for a long time. We suggest using the latest internet browsers and reducing the number of plugins or add ons.

What if there is a service disruption? Will I lose my bids?

In the case of a service disruption, ongoing auctions will be temporarily suspended and the highest bid will remain as before. Auctions will resume once technical errors have been sorted. In the case of technical errors, each case will be dealt with on an individual basis.
